For Laura and Izzy’s outdoor family photoshoot, we made the most of a beautiful summer’s evening and headed outside just a stone’s throw from my home studio. I’ll always be grateful for the girls not shying away from the overgrown pathways which were awash with green and texture. I knew it would be worth it and it certainly was!

The setting for the photoshoot was close to Howsham Hall, located in the Howardian Hills which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. I had spotted the meadow of wild flowers a few days earlier which was perfect for natural photographs of the girls as they wandered.

I love capturing mini sessions as they’re fast-paced with little moments of magic that unfold before you. I love to host mini outdoor family photo shoots for this very reason where nature plays a leading role in inspiring and guiding the session. My clients are always amazed at the variety of shots I deliver within just a short 20-minute session and many return each year to update their family portraits.

My mini outdoor photo sessions are held on specific days throughout the year through spring, summer and autumn. They are ideal for young families with children aged from one-year-olds and upwards. The children will be encouraged to take the lead and explore which makes for relaxed and candid family photographs as you make new memories as a family.
