We escaped to the beach at Fraisthorpe near Bridlington for Katie and Jamie’s maternity photography session when Katie had just reached her 33rd week of pregnancy. It was a joy to capture the magic between Katie and Jamie as they cuddled up on the beach just before they became parents for the first time.

I personally love capturing photo sessions at the beach. The soft tones in the landscape give an instant dreamlike feel which works beautifully for my style of fine art photography. I love to capture portraits which are softly edited, intimate and focus on the couple’s connection.

We timed the session perfectly for the winter sun with the portraits captured in the early morning for diffused light and also an almost deserted beach.

There is something so special about having a maternity session to take a little time for yourself as you embark on the most incredible journey into motherhood. It can be time to bond with your partner and bump and the photographs captured are a beautiful reminder of how remarkable the human body is.

I offer maternity photoshoot sessions either on location or in my home studio which is located in between York and Malton. Each session is very relaxed for natural and candid photographs and can be taken on your own or with your partner and children.
